Authenticity of Documents
The electronic signature is a cryptographic process through which electronic documents (e.g. E-Mails and PDF documents) can be signed and recognised as being legally-binding. They are therefore treated like normal documents that have been signed by hand.
With the help of the electronic signature the unauthorised manipulation of electronically created documents can be prevented; this means that they protect the authenticity and integrity of the document.
